Iodine status in the Faroe Islands among adults aged 40–74 years old

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the urinary iodine concentrations (UIC) in an adult population in the Faroe Islands. Iodine status in the adult population assumed to be sufficient due to the high frequency of seafood consumption1 although UIC has not been investigated previously in the Faroe Islands.
